About The Founder

Turquoise Consulting was founded by Shana Dressler, who has dedicated the last decade to empowering executives, 21st-century entrepreneurial problem-solvers and creative professionals who have launched businesses, built hardware and software products, and scaled social impact organizations. As the Executive Director of Google’s 30 Weeks, Shana ran an incubator for creative entrepreneurs that Fast Company named as one of the World’s Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in design. In that role she helped founders-to-be shape nights and weekend passion projects into financially viable businesses. Part of their training included how to build cross-cultural high performing teams with diverse skill sets to collaborate during the early days of a startup where pressure is high and days are long. As a business consultant, Shana has helped entrepreneurs develop unified mission and visions, understand the power of operations and create sound, strategic plans in order attract angel and venture capital.

To keep her feet firmly planted in innovation, she mentors startup founders at incubators and accelerators. Some of her current and past collaborations include providing training and/or 1-on-1 coaching with entrepreneurs in programs such as: the MIT Solve Challenge, Cornell Tech, NYU Steinhardt EdTech Hyper Accelerator, D&AD Impact Accelerator, the NYCEDC’s Futureworks incubator, the New Museum’s NEW INC Incubator, Made in NY Media Center, Brooklyn Navy Yard Accelerator and others.

Shana is also the co-founder of the NYC Innovation Collective, a 501(c)(6) nonprofit that convenes and supports 100+ incubators, accelerators and innovation programs throughout New York.

Shana received her coaching and leadership training from the Co-Active Training Institute, The Leadership Circle and the THNK School of Creative Leadership. She is an Aspen Institute Scholar, a member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, and a judge for The Webby Awards. In 2014 she became a Delegate to the United Nations Foundation Global Accelerator which brought together “100 of the world’s top entrepreneurs to work together with policy leaders on global issues.” In 2015, Shana was honored by the World CSR Congress as one of the 50 Most Talented Social Innovators.

Shana has given keynote talks and led workshops at conferences including Fast Company’s Innovation Festival, Harvard Social Enterprise Conference, HarvardxDesign, A Better World By Design, Adobe’s 99u, the Social Good Summit, the Disruptive Innovation Festival, Core77 and many others.
